Top 5 Film & Television Apps in Turkey Q3 2024: Unified Platform Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market in Turkey displayed dynamic trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Disney+ experienced fluctuating performance in terms of weekly revenue, which peaked at about $127.8K in mid-July and saw a decline to approximately $92.5K by the end of September. Its weekly downloads reached a high of 61.6K in mid-August before declining to 29.6K at the end of the quarter. The app's active user base showed significant fluctuation, peaking at around 354K in mid-August and dropping to 278.6K by the end of September.

TOD Türkiye saw a substantial increase in weekly revenue, especially in early September, reaching approximately $142K. Weekly downloads spiked to 122.5K in mid-September, correlating with a growth in active users, which peaked at about 655.1K in the same period.

GAİN maintained a relatively steady revenue throughout the quarter, averaging around $39K weekly. Downloads showed a high of 37.9K at the beginning of July but tapered off to below 10K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, with a peak of about 20.5K in early September.

TV+ Movies, Series & Live TV saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, closing the quarter at approximately $32.2K. Downloads were robust, reaching a peak of 64K at the start of the quarter, while active users saw a slight increase towards the end of September, nearing 112.6K.

tabii showcased remarkable growth in downloads, especially in mid-September, with a peak of 346.6K. Its weekly revenue surged significantly in mid-September, reaching around $84K. Active users also increased, peaking at nearly 1.4M by the end of September.
